Richard Diller has been affiliated with Charles Rutenberg Realty since 2006 and was appointed Director of the Commercial Division in 2013. Mr. Diller has an extensive background in all types of Commercial Real Estate. His career begins as one of the founding Members of Equity Programs, Ltd., a successful Real Estate Investment firm based at One Penn Plaza in Manhattan where Mr. Diller as a General Partner, was responsible for creating 39 Real Estate investment partnerships with a value in excess of $140 million. The portfolio included more than 2,500 apartment units and 500,000 square feet of commercial space. He was also President of Equity Realty Securities Corp. As a Broker/Dealer, he was part of an entity that raised over $70 million from high-net worth investors for the acquisition of Real Estate properties in nine states with a total value of over $170 million.
Joint Ventures
Through an affiliation with a private equity investor group, he was responsible for originating, negotiating, evaluating and structuring joint ventures for the development and construction of residential single-family units and townhouses. These transactions were valued in excess of $50 million.
Mr. Diller holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from SUNY-Binghamton. Mr. Diller has been a New York State Licensed Real Estate Broker since 1979.
