Richard Diller has been affiliated with Charles Rutenberg Realty since 2006 and become the Director of the Commercial Division in 2013. Charles Rutenberg Realty, which was founded in 2006, is headquartered in Plainview, New York and now has over 1,000 Agents, along with eight branch offices serving the New York City metro area. With such a vast network of Agents, Mr. Diller, with his extensive background in Commercial Real Estate, is well-suited for his role in assisting the Rutenberg Agents in locating, analyzing, negotiating and structuring both leasing and investment sales of any type of commercial transaction. With Mr. Diller’s assistance, the Agents at Charles Rutenberg Realty have closed numerous commercial investment transactions and commercial leasing transactions with public, private companies and local regional tenants. Mr. Diller has been a New York State Licensed Real Estate Broker since 1979.


In 1979, Richard Diller was one the Founding Members of Equity Programs, Ltd., a Real Estate firm based at One Penn Plaza in Manhattan. As General Partner, Mr. Diller was responsible for creating 39 Real Estate investment partnerships with a value in excess of $140 million. The portfolio included more than 2,500 apartment units and 500,000 square feet of commercial space. He was also President of Equity Realty Securities Corp. As a Broker/Dealer, he was part of an entity that raised over $70 million from high-net worth investors for the acquisition of Real Estate properties in nine states with a total value of over $170 million.


Through an affiliation with a private equity investor group, he was responsible for originating, negotiating, evaluating and structuring joint ventures for the development and construction of residential single-family units and townhouses. These transactions were valued in excess of $50 million.


Mr. Diller holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from SUNY-Binghamton.
